HIA in the News: Alaska Proposes HIA Legislation

On February 23, 2010, Alaska State Representative Cissna introduced a bill related to health impact assessments. The legislation would establish a health impact assessment program within the Alaska State Department of Health and Social Services "for the purpose of promoting healthy communities, eliminating health disparities among communities, and protecting the human environment."
