HIA in the News: “Officials Present Humboldt County's Health Impact Assessment at National Conference in D.C.”

"Humboldt County 3rd District Supervisor Mark Lovelace and Humboldt County Public Health Officer Dr. Ann Lindsay are presenting the county's health impact assessment at a national conference in Washington, D.C., on Monday.
The National Association of Counties invited Lindsay to present the assessment at its annual legislative conference. Lovelace is assisting and serving as moderator for the discussion.
The National Association of Counties (NACo) represents the nation's 3,068 counties before the federal government. Their annual legislative conference is expected to draw thousands of county supervisors and staff from all over the United States, according to a press release.
The presentation, ‘Improving Public Health Through Better Land Use Planning,' will demonstrate the application of the assessment to the county's general plan update..."
