HIA Practitioners to Convene for “HIA in the Americas Workshop”

"In September of 2008, HIA practitioners gathered for the first HIA in the Americas workshop with the objective of discussing regional issues related to the practice of HIA, and developing an action plan to strategically elevate awareness and use of Health Impact Assessment in the Americas. The upcoming 2010 meeting will provide an opportunity for the growing number of HIA practitioners to convene and discuss the evolution/ progress of HIA, and strategies to further the development and practice of HIA in the Americas..."
