Putting Health Impact Assessment on the Map

Already well-established internationally, the field of HIA is growing rapidly in the United States. Dr. Wernham gave two presentations highlighting the importance of health-focused domestic public policy at the American Public Health Association Annual Meeting in Philadelphia.

Also in October, Dr. Wernham met with international HIA experts at a three-day conference in the Netherlands, where he co-led a panel with the World Health Organization on "Globalizing HIA and opportunities for scaling up good practice."
